March 25, 2009 A ROOM WITH A WHO AND GREEN EGGS AND HAM FOR BREAKFAST!

ORLANDO, FL - (March 9, 2009) - The Cat in the Hat and children from the hotel's adopted school helped Loews Portofino Bay Hotel celebrate the National Education Association's Read Across America event and the launch of a hotel package that includes a room with a who and breakfast of green eggs and ham. Students from Richmond Heights Elementary School listened to some of the beloved stories of Dr. Seuss, toured one of the hotel's Dr. Seuss kids' suites and then made a stop in Universal's Islands of Adventure Seuss Landing area.

"Inspiring children to read is important to every parent," says General Manager Paul Leclerc. "These suites, combined with the rides and attractions at Seuss Landing at Islands of Adventure bring the Dr. Seuss stories to life in three dimensions with characters that have captivated generations."

A Room with a Who...and more

With the Cat in the Hat, Horton, the Grinch and the Sneetches smiling back, the Dr. Seuss kids' suites create an immersive, larger-than-life experience that integrates the characters from Seuss Landing at Islands of Adventure into the hotel. The suites capture the Seussian spirit in a montage of characters, colors and patterns. Upon entering the suite, colors and patterns are everywhere, from the vibrant blue carpeting that is sprinkled with a pattern of lighter blue dots to the beds, which appear to be part of "Who-ville" with Seussian forms inspired from the Horton Hears a Who book. Buildings teeter, trees droop and machines work in impossible ways. The two-room suites offer ample space for traveling families, and parents appreciate the added feature that only allows access from the children's room into the adult's room and not into the hallway.

At Seuss Landing in Universal's Islands of Adventure, Dr. Seuss' most beloved children's stories come to life in Seuss Landing. Awash with color, music and whimsy, Seuss Landing features rides and attractions based off of Dr. Seuss' memorable tales and characters, including High in the Sky Seuss Trolley Train Ride!, The Cat in the Hat, Caro-Seuss-el, One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish and If I Ran the Zoo.

Dr. Seuss Kids' Suite Packages

The new Dr. Seuss kids' suite packages include accommodations in a Dr. Seuss suite (three-night minimum), a breakfast of green eggs and ham in Trattoria del Porto for two daily, a special children's welcome amenity, a set of four Dr. Seuss books, a set of four mini Dr. Seuss themed plush characters and a souvenir Cat in the Hat photo frame. Package rates for these two-bedroom suites start at $619/night and can be booked online at www.universalorlando.com/hotels or by calling 1-800-BE A STAR.
