Executive Biographies
Thomas L. Williams
Chairman and CEO
Universal Parks & Resorts
Thomas L. Williams has served as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Universal
Parks & Resorts since September 1999.
Mr. Williams is responsible for the oversight of Universal Studios Parks & Resorts,
including Universal Studios Hollywood theme park and Universal CityWalk retail
and entertainment complex in Hollywood, Calif.; as well as the Universal
Studios Florida and Islands of Adventure theme parks, three on-site hotels and Universal
CityWalk in Orlando, Fla., all of which are part of a huge, multi-faceted
resort destination known as Universal Orlando Resort.
Mr.
Williams also oversees international operations of Universal Parks &
Resorts in Japan, as well as developing theme parks in Dubai, Singapore and South Korea.
Mr.
Williams joined Universal Studios Florida in 1987 as part of the project's
"opening team" and led the group that designed and developed all operational
aspects for the new theme park, which debuted in 1990. Mr. Williams has more
than 30 years experience in the hospitality and leisure industries, and he has
helped build Universal Studios Florida into what Fodor’s Guide has named, "The
best theme park in the world."
A founding trustee of both World Class Schools (Florida)
and United Arts of Central Florida and a current member on both the Board of
Directors for NBC and the Emeril Lagasse Foundation, Mr. Williams is a graduate
of California State University, Fresno.
William A. Davis
President and COO
Universal Orlando Resort
William A. Davis serves as President and Chief Operating Officer of Universal Orlando.
He is responsible for the oversight of Universal Orlando Resort, including
Universal Studios theme park, Islands of Adventure theme park, three on-site
resort hotels and the 30-acre CityWalk entertainment complex.
Mr. Davis has 33 years experience in the theme park industry. He previously served
as Chief Executive Officer of Universal Mediterranea; Executive Vice President
and General Manager at SeaWorld in San Diego, Calif.; and Senior Vice President of Guest Services at Anheuser-Busch
Entertainment Corporation headquarters in St. Louis,
where he was responsible for park and culinary operations, merchandise,
safety/environment and beer promotion for nine theme parks in the U.S.
A past president of the Orlando/Orange County Convention and Visitors Bureau, Mr.
Davis has served on the Give Kids the World Board of Directors, the San Diego
Convention and Visitors Bureau Executive Committee and the American Zoological
Association as a Professional Fellow.
Mr. Davis is a graduate of San Diego State University and the Brooks Institute of Photography.
Alice Norsworthy
Executive Vice President, Marketing & Sales
Universal Orlando Resort
Alice Norsworthy is Executive Vice President of Marketing and Sales at Universal Orlando.
Ms. Norsworthy is responsible for the oversight of Universal Orlando’s Marketing and Sales divisions and reports to Tom Williams, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer for Universal Parks & Resorts. In that capacity, Ms. Norsworthy oversees all brand and retail marketing and distribution programs. She joined Universal Orlando in September 2008.
Previously, Ms. Norsworthy served as Senior Vice President of Marketing for Royal Caribbean International. During her time there, Ms. Norsworthy led the development and implementation of the marketing programs that grew the Royal Caribbean brand and launched the Freedom Class of cruise ships. Ms. Norsworthy also held a variety of senior roles at Walt Disney World.
Ms. Norsworthy has been recognized by Advertising Age as one of America’s Top 50 marketers, “who broke through the clutter and delivered real impact (and ROI) for their brands.” She has also been named one of the 100 Most Powerful Women in Travel three times by Travel Agent Magazine.
Ms. Norsworthy is a graduate of the University of Florida in Gainesville.
Mark Woodbury
President, Universal Creative
Universal Parks & Resorts
Mark Woodbury is President of Universal Creative for Universal Parks & Resorts.
He leads the Universal Creative Team for both of the domestic theme park
locations and drives creative development with our international licensing partners.
Mr. Woodbury joined Universal in 1988, during the design and development of
Universal Studios Florida and in 1994 assumed a leadership role in the global
expansion of the theme park and resort business.
Mr. Woodbury leads a multi-disciplinary team of professional project managers,
designers, analysts, engineers, architects and builders, focused on delivering
innovative business solutions for the Universal Parks & Resorts group. He
and his team have set new industry standards with their award-winning
accomplishments, such as top-rated theme park attractions The Amazing
Adventures of Spiderman, Shrek 4-D and Revenge of the Mummy.
Mr. Woodbury earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of New Mexico,
a Master of Architecture from the University of Wisconsin and is a licensed architect in the state of Florida
