June 27, 2006 Seasoned Travel Industry Sales Pro Joins Universal Orlando Resort Team

ORLANDO, Florida – Dan Cupertino joins Universal Orlando Resort as senior vice president of sales, President and CEO of Universal Orlando Resort Bob Gault announced today.

Cupertino comes to Universal after serving as Vice President for Travel Agency Sales and National Accounts with the Walt Disney Company. In this role he was responsible for the sales team that supported Walt Disney World, the Disney Cruise Line, and Disneyland Resort. Prior to his role with Disney, he worked for Delta Air Lines in a variety of Sales leadership positions including Industry & Consumer Marketing and Industry Sales, before being named the Managing Director of Delta’s Agency, Leisure & Segmented Sales departments.

“We are thrilled to have Dan on our team. He has long enjoyed an outstanding reputation in the sales industry and is one of the top leaders in his profession. I know he will hit the ground running,” Gault said.

Cupertino began his accomplished career at Delta in 1973 after attending the State University of New York. He also completed the Advanced Management Program at the Duke University Fuqua School of Business in 1991. In addition to his professional experience, Cupertino served on several industry organizations including the Board of Directors and as an Executive Committee Member for the Travel Industry Association.

Dan currently resides in Celebration with his wife Julie and their children Joseph and Samantha.
